Course objectives
The goal of the course is getting information about Russian morphological system. At the end of this course the student will be able to define the grammatical category of nouns and adjectives in contemporary Russian; to compare the functioning of nouns and adjectives in Russian and Czech languages; use the acquired knowledge in communication in Russian language.
Syllabus
  • 1. Object and basic concepts of morphology. Parts of speech. Grammatical categories of nouns. 2. Declension of nouns. Nouns first inflection at sg. 3. First declension nouns inflection at pl. 4. The second declension of nouns. 5. Variations in the second declension of nouns. 6. The third declension nouns. 7. Derivation of nouns. Uninflected nouns. 8. Adjectives and their morphological characteristics. 9. Morphological categories of adjectives. 10. Category of adjectival comparison. 11. Accent and spelling of adjectives. 12. Revision.
