- Course objectives
- The class introduces behavioral science and focuses on the person, his behavior and relation with physical and social environment. We will deal with behavioral explanation of specific behaviors and factors of the environment on a person. The class will mainly deal with practical application of the science, which uses the principles of behaviorism to deal with socially important behavioral difficulties. Students will understand the basic methods and techniques of measuring behavior, data management, and learning adaptive and reducing non-adaptive skills.

- Basic principles of behavior, brief history of behavioral analysis, introduction to applied behavioral analysis.
- Definition and measurement of target behavior.
- Visual data analysis.
- Mapping of individual skills and preference testing.
- Learning skills and repertoire of behaviors.
- Learning in natural settings, intensive learning, discriminant training and transfer of stimulus control.
- Prompts, shaping and chaining of behavior.
- Functional analysis of behavior, antecedent intervention.
- Ways of reducing problem behavior.
