Course objectives
The subject is focused on approaches to students with specific learning disabilities (SLD). It targets the possibilities of remediation, education and appropriate didactics in education of students with SLD. Student will acquire basic skills in appropriate educational methods and remediation of students with specific learning disabilities.
Syllabus
  • The subject define aspects of specific learning disabilities. It targets the possibilities of remediation, education and appropriate didactics in education of students with SLD. Specific learning disabilities - terminology, aetiology, symptoms, diagnostics. Weakened aspects in the development of central nervous system and sensory fucntions significant at primary education (reading, writing, calculating), remediation care, remediation methods for individuals with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia. Compensatory aids. Personality of individual with SLD in grammar school and in the adulthood. The issue of education of students with SLD in grammar schools and adults with specific learning disabilities.
