Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand the problematics of interpretation of art works. The aim is the orientation in the world of art in relations. Student should understand the relations between kinds of art in particular time periods - art of antiquity, Romanic, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Classicism, Romanticism, the main trends in art of 20th century.

Teaching methods
Lectures, theoretical preparation, comparative analysis of art works, class discussion. Discussion is based on analysis of given artistic works.
Assessment methods
Credit. On the base of seminar work (range 5-8 pages) - a comparative analysis of various artistic works treating the same theme.
