- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim is to understand better to oneself's emotions, emotional processes and psychic and physiologic relationship to them.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will gain a better insight into her/his own psychic processes. Student will improve her/his ability to reflect, analyze, regulate, and use emotional processes.
- Syllabus
- The course consists of two four-hour blocks. One block will be led by Jan Krasa and the other by Kateřina Bartošová. The specific term of the two blocks will be specified by email to all students of the course. Course topics: Current theories of temperament; relationship of temperament and emotions; Where and how can we feel emotions?; Where are the emotions?; How to care for oneself?; relationship of emotions and stress; How to deal with stress?; common responses to stress; "I exploded" or the way there and back again.
- Teaching methods
- The course is taught in the form of short lectures, discussions and experiential and group activities.
- Assessment methods
- The credit will be given for active class-participation.
