- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will: Know the basic concepts of labour market and employment, be able to write a good resume and cover letter, be prepared for a job interview, understand the fundamental issues of contracts between the employee and the employer, be aware of the risks of illegal work, know about services of Public Employment Agency and ČSSZ, be aware of students responsibilities due to social and health insurance, understand basic business requirements.
- Syllabus
- 1. Basic concepts of labour market and employment. 2. Resume and cover letter. 3. Job interview. 4. Employment contracts, tax declaration for students. 5. Risks of illegal work. 6. Termination of employment contracts, redundancy pay, „what to do if employer does not pay“. 7. Public Employment Agency and ČSSZ – counseling about labour market. 8. Social and health insurance from the perspective of a student and a graduate student. Sickness insurance. Students over 26 years. 9. Business – assumptions, gaining trade certificate, social and health insurance issues, problems and perspectives of the business. 10. Teaching profession and its position on the labour market. 11. Study and interships abroad.
