- Course objectives
- The main aim is to provide the participants with the information and skills that are essential for successful planning and organisation of an intensive experiential language course. The subject is a practical one (based on years of experience) and focuses on clear and easy-to-follow steps that are crucial in order to create a great course for the participants and organisers alike.
- Syllabus
- The first part will focus on the general introduction of the experiential learning and its principal in the connection with the organisation of intensive experiential language courses. Then we will go together through all the steps that are essential for successful planning of the course. This will be followed by a closer look at a scenario of a real course and we will look at all the individual activities, try some of them and discuss the reason for choosing each of them, as well as the reasons for placing them in the given order. In the end, there will be enough space left for questions and discussion. In the second part, participants will present their own weekend courses prepared in small groups. Every team will receive feedback on their work from the other participants and also from the teacher. Again, there will be time to ask questions and to discuss the problems we may encounter.
