- Course objectives
- At the end of the rhetoric course, the students will know the tools how to improve the abilities of a cultivated written and spoken Czech speech and will be able to defend his/her opinion against opponents, to build up arguments and detect a manipulation.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to: create a data presentation without errors; distinguish verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal means of communication; to speak in a cultivated way.
- Syllabus
- 1. Fundamental presupposition of cultivated using language. 2. Paraverbal, verbal and nonverbal aspects of speech. 4. Pragmatic communitaion. 5. Manipulation and fallacies. 6. Overcomming stress when giving a speech. 7. How to make slides and presentation.
