Course objectives
The course is aimed at students whose dissertation is related to the issue of geography instruction.
The aim of the course is to guide students to   deeper understanding of the processes taking place in geography classrooms. Students' attention should focus primarily on the processes of formation of geographical concepts and the development of geographic thought by studying the appropriate tasks and situations that are observed in schools. Problem-oriented approaches in teaching geography have long been considered a pillar of geographic education, because the problem teaching reflects the specific nature of the geography curriculum.
At the end of the course students will: • Demonstrate a profound and systematized insight into the processes taking place in geography classrooms.
• critically assess problem-based learning situations captured on video, and   if necessary, propose improvements.
