Course objectives
This subject is part of a 3-semester cycle of language exercises offered to students during a Master's degree course. The aim is to further develop language skills and to provide knowledge about the realities of German-speaking countries. Grammar exercises to the more difficult phenomena of German grammar (adjectives, previous times, prefixes with adjectives, word order, etc.). Selection of thematic units from the Hauptkurs textbook, with a special emphasis on communication and the mediation of the idea of everyday life in German-speaking countries. Systematic backgrounds of German-speaking countries with an emphasis on Germany (the foundations of the political system, education, youth and students and the latest history, especially the reunification of the two German states).
Learning outcomes
The students have the ability to communicate and to learn about the everyday world in German-speaking countries. They also have knowledge of German-speaking countries with a focus on Germany (basics of the political system, education, youth and students and recent history, especially the reunification of the two German states).
Syllabus
  • 1st - 12th week: Grammar exercises for the more difficult phenomena of German grammar (inflections of adjectives, past times, prefixes with adjectives, word order, etc.)
