Course objectives
Actual educational and psychological problems. At the end of this course, students should be able to interpret actual educational and psychological problems and use data about actual problems to inform teachers.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- understand the basic problems in educational and psychological school system
- create a database of basic technical terms and their mutual relationships
- apply new knowledge and skills in practice
- interpret current educational issues
- understand the basic terminology of the subject
- make and express decisions about situations related to the subject and use newly acquired knowledge to react to unknown circumstances.

  • Actual educational and psychological topics:
  • Gifted Pupils.
  • Discipline problems.
  • Bullying at Schools.
  • Alternative Schools.
  • School Inspection.
Teaching methods
theoretical preparation in the form of a lecture with independent study of specialized sources
Assessment methods
Colloquium
- final discussion about chosen topic
- a seminar extended essay of 2 - 3 pages submitted in the electronic form to the teacher at a date agreed
- a presentation of one chosen actual problem from home country of student
