Prerequisites
Lecture and preparation for a credit test, which is an entry requirement for the exam – discussion, overview in the given issue Continuous assignments - Students participate in the creation of an e-learning course (discussion contributions, creation of a continuous terminology database, monitoring of psychotherapeutic topics) + Practical techniques teaching, database of methodical activities and topics. Application of therapeutic techniques in relation to current educational problems. Participation of students in the creation of an e-learning course (discussion contributions, creation of an continuous terminological database, evaluation and monitoring of psychotherapeutic topics).

Course objectives
After completing the subject student: Will get an overview of the basic issues of psychotherapy, the historical development parallels, existing approaches and the development of other alternative therapeutic approaches. On a theoretical level he will be acquainted with different therapies and techniques, in continuity with possible practice of practical skills (in the course Metody a techniky terapií). He will extend his overview applicable especially in the development of personal competencies. He will get acquainted with the practical basics of the techniques of group psychotherapy, family therapy, gestal therapy, transactional analysis, analytical psychotherapy, Roger's psychotherapy, concentric movement therapy, body therapy, art therapy, music therapy, body therapy, choreotherapy, dramatherapy, art therapeutic and other techniques. He will examin the issue of application possibilities of therapeutic techniques in educational reality. He will thus expand his overview of application possibilities of therapeutic techniques in educational reality.
Syllabus
  • Introduction and a theoretical insight into the basics of psychotherapy is in the following topics: • What is psychotherapy? Common factors of psychotherapeutic movements. • Differentiation and development of psychotherapy. History of psychotherapy and current psychotherapeutic movements. (Psychoanalysis, CBT, Family and Systematic psychotherapy, Humanistic approaches - Rogerian psychotherapy, etc.) • Who is the therapist, who is a client, who seeks psychotherapy and why, therapeutic relationships. • Possible risks in psychotherapy. • Healthy lifestyle. • Other specific psychotherapeutic movements, methods, techniques and procedures (Art therapy, Dramatherapy, Autogenous training, Relaxation, Autoanalysis of dreams, Holotropic therapy, Hypnosis, Yoga, Dance and movement therapy, Logotherapy, Assertiveness training, Emotional intelligence). • Situation in the Czech Republic and synergy with other assisting professions The application topics are implemented by practical training of techniques based on selected approaches discussed on a theoretical level. The partial aim of the subject is to elaborate on the problematics of application possibilities of therapeutic techniques on educational level. The seminar focuses particulary on the following areas: EFFECTIVE SELF-CARE Self-monitoring (self-observation techniques, feedback processing from others, self-confidence and self-assessment), self-management (coping with demands of pedagogical profession, prevention of burnout syndromes, time-management in everyday processes, self-motivational techniques), self-presentation (presentation of self, of appropriate pedagogical attitudes, of the role of positive authority for pupils) EFFECTIVENESS OF INTERNAL PSYCHIC FUNCTIONS Practice of the desired kind of concentration in various types of learning (perception channels, alpha level, top experiences ...) Treatment of emotional states (types of desirable and undesirable states for learning and educational process, techniques of motivation enhancement) Techniques for quality improving of moral and ethical development in its individual phases. EFFICIENCY OF INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Communication (assertiveness, active listening, negotiation, discussion, appropriate strategies for problematic persons), principles of handling internal and interpersonal problems and conflicts, typical patterns of their solution. Intervention in problem students and their parents.
