- Course objectives
- Students will acquire skills and practical skills in the development of communication skills of hearing impaired; will be oriented in compensatory aids used in the rehabilitation of individuals with hearing impairment; in the possibilities of hearing and speech re-education in children and adults with auditory defects; will become familiar with the possibilities of editing texts for the hearing impaired reader and their use in practice.
- Learning outcomes
- • Student knows the classification, etiology and symptomatology of hearing impairment;
• orientation in diagnostic approaches and methods in working with children with hearing impairment;
• Controls therapeutic approaches;
• knows the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation. - Syllabus
- • Classification of auditory defects according to different criteria.
- • Diagnosis of Hearing Defects - Hearing Methods.
- • Early intervention of individuals with hearing impairment - care system.
- • Ontogenetic development of speech in a child with hearing disability.
- • Individual speech therapy in counseling and school facilities for the hearing impaired.
- • Compensatory and speech aids used in the rehabilitation of hearing impaired individuals.
- • Hearing Education - Reaction to sound, identification and differentiation of sounds, phonemic hearing, sentence discrimination.
- • Breathing exercises and voice-inducing - conscious voice use, voice hygiene.
- • Development of visual perception and lax training.
- • Global reading, interviewing, diary work, reading comprehension, and text editing for SP.
- • Voice extraction, fixation and automation of individual voices.
- • Hearing analysis and word synthesis, vocabulary development.
- • Visual-motor communication systems and their use in practice.

- Výroba pomůcky pro rozvoj komunikačních dovedností u dětí a žáků se sluchovým postižením, úprava textu pro čtenáře se sluchovým postižením. Zpracování případové studie reflektující dosaženou úroveň komunikačních dovedností a jazykových kompetencí jedince se sluchovým postižením. Písemný test a ústní zkouška.
