- Course objectives
- Upon completion of this course the student will have an overview of communication systems used by people with hearing impairment, especially the visual-motor forms of communication. Students will acquire the theoretical knowledge in the area of developing functional communication in children with hearing impairment in early, preschool and school age. They will focus on the choice of appropriate communication forms of deaf people, with an emphasis on visual-motor communication systems - the use of the Czech sign language, the Czech signed language and the finger alphabet.
- Learning outcomes
- • the student is oriented in the area of developing of functional communication and choice of adequate communication system with respect to all age categories and types of hearing impairment • orientated in the area of visual and motor communication systems of the deaf • orientated in the basics of linguistics of the Czech sign language • they will acquire selected visual-motor communication systems for hearing impaired people
