Course objectives
Didactics of Geography I deals with questions of “General Didactics“which are applied into specific situations in teaching of geography. It also deals with questions concerning the didactics of other scientific and social fields. It is about the tackling of relations in the triad: learning – teaching – education. Didactics of Geography I continues theoretical and practical curriculum of geographical disciplines in 1-4 terms. In didactical transformation of achieved knowledge, it makes use of regional principle in maximum extent.
Learning outcomes
-Define and justify the general and specific objectives to which geography education is directed. -Search, analyze and interpret information on the creation of a geographic curriculum at elementary school; - To initiate and implement the individual parts and gradually the entire lesson for selected geographic education themes; -To set concrete and measurable goals for the lesson.
