- Absolvent of our lectures will make elementary sense about graphic design history. Our lectures are open to public (not only for students from Masaryk University.

- 1. Inception of graphic design.
- 2. Starting of poster as a main communication medium.
- 3. Editorial design and corporate identity at the turn of the 19/20 century.
- 4. Graphic design in czech country at the beginning of 20th century.
- 5. Futurism and Dadaism.
- 6. Bauhaus, russian and dutch avantgarda.
- 7. Letter makers at at the first half of 20th century.
- 8. Jan Tschichold and New Typography.
- 9. Art Deco and war propaganda.
- 10. Modernism in czech country between First and Second World War.
- 11. Swiss School and International Style.
- 12. Polish Poster School and its influence on european poster.
- 13. Czech poster and editorial design from second half of 20th century.
- 14. From Isotype to international language of symbols.
- 15. Pop-art and psychedelic design (on the sixties), punk (on the seventies) and pop-culture (on the eighties).
