Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with various alternative directions, to help them to orientate in the context of the different directions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to: understand and explain the Montessori, Waldorf and Forest pedagogy concepts, their approches, principles; rientate themselves in the pedagogical, psychological and philosophical foundations of these education concepts; use this knowledge to better understanding modern trends in education and training; clarify own concept of teaching in the context of alternative didactic practices.

  • 1. - 2. Historical roots of Alternative Schools in Reform Systems (Pedagogy of Montessori, Waldorf, Forest Kindergartens, etc.), their approaches, principles. 3. - 4. State and non-state schools - church, foundation and private. 5. Kindergarten and educational innovations. 6. Educational alternatives as a complex concept. 7. Waldorf pedagogy. 8. Montessori pedagogy. 9. Pedagogy of forest kindergarten. 10. Climate of schools and classes in alternative schools. 11. - 12. Formation of Teacher's Concept of Teaching and Inspiration in Alternative Concepts.
