- Course objectives
- The course aims to master the principles of teaching speaking skills in teaching Russian at Czech elementary schools. Emphasis is on the development of students' ability to choose adequate methodological procedures and the creation of appropriate teaching aids, their evaluation and practical use for the development of speaking skills with regard to learners' age and expected outcomes. Students will be guided to reflect on the teaching process, learners' needs, strategies used to achieve didactic goals. Another goal of the course is to develop students' intercultural communication competence through cooperation with students and teachers of Udmurt State University (Russia) within the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students will be able to choose appropriate activities to support the development of learners' speaking skills. As the result of cooperation with teachers and students from Udmurt State University in Russia, there will be developed teaching aids for the development of speaking skills in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

- 1.-2. Speech skills and their development in Russian language teaching according to curricular documents (SERRJ and others).
- 3.-4. Methodology of developing reading skills. Working with text.
- 5.-6. Methodology of developing listening skills. Working with audio recording.
- 7.-8. Methodology of developing writing skills.
- 9.-10. Methodology of developing speaking skills.
