- Course objectives
- The student will acquire skills and practical skills in the development of communication skills of individuals with hearing impairment; get acquainted with the possibilities of editing texts for readers with hearing impairments and their use in practice; in the possibilities of employment of people with hearing impairment on the labor market; in the system of interpreting services; in the field of social services for the hearing impaired and deafblind.
- Learning outcomes
- • Student knows the classification, etiology and symptomatology of hearing impairment • The student is familiar with the specifics of the reception of written text for people with hearing impairment. • The student is able to describe the impact of hearing impairment on the quality of life from early age to old age. • The student is familiar with the professional employment of people with hearing impairment. • The student is able to describe the importance and system of interpreting services for people with hearing impairment.

- • Classification of hearing impairments according to various criteria. • Reading comprehension and editing texts for SP. • Secondary and tertiary education of pupils and students with hearing impairment. • Vocational orientation and vocational training of pupils with hearing impairment. • Professional employment of people with hearing impairment. • The issue of hearing impairment in adulthood and old age. • Interpreting services for the hearing impaired. • Visual - motor communication systems and their use in practice - Czech sign language, signed Czech, finger alphabet. • Deafblindness.
