Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint future teachers (regardless of the field) with the possibility of using virtual reality in the educational process. Students will be introduced to both the theory of virtual reality and the educational applications and games that are currently available.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to: 1. explain the principles of virtual reality and its difference from the augmented reality; 2. lead teaching, present and discuss the topic of the VR; 3. to manipulate VR and orientate oneself in the environment of virtual reality; 4. Evaluate available VR models and applications for learning to work with them; 5. know the teaching principles, requirements and safety for the implementation of teaching in the VR;
Syllabus
  • Week 1: Introduction to Virtual Reality and principles of its use 2. Manipulation and orientation in VR environment, exam of available VR applications with a focus on education (Block teaching) 3. Orientation in virtual environment, exam of available VR applications, discussion (block teaching)
