Course objectives
The students will learn about the practical application of the didactics of physical education and health education in kindergarten. The course is based on the students’ model teaching attempts and their reflections, based on which the students deliver physical activity lessons for children in kindergarten based on a thorough didactic preparation.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to use the knowledge of the theory and didactics of physical education and health education in qualified management of physical activities and activities relating to health education in kindergarten; the students will be able reflect on these activities in a qualified way.
Syllabus
  • Seminar: Preparation for teaching sessions in kindergarten, learning about the basic methods of observation and assessment of structured physical activities. 2. – 3. Demonstrations of structured physical activities in preschool education. 4. – 11. Reflected teaching sessions on a given topic involving health education – both indoor and outdoor in a playing field or in a natural environment. 12. Evaluation and self-reflection of student teaching sessions in kindergarten. Practical training: Demonstrations of structured physical activities in kindergarten (partner institution). 3. – 4. Preparation for teaching sessions in kindergarten, application of the basic methods of observation and assessment of structured physical activities. 5. – 12. Reflected teaching sessions on a given topic involving health education – both indoor and outdoor in a playing field or in a natural environment.
