- Course objectives
- The course is focused on mastering the basics of teaching methodology in the environment outside the classroom, specifically in the specific environment of the school garden. An important part of the course is reflected practical teaching with students in the form of micro-performance.
Lessons are held on the faculty model school garden (Kejbaly workplace)and Lipka School for Environmental Education in order to prepare students professionally and didactically for teaching key science and environmental concepts. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to:
• Characterize the (natural) school garden as a complex educational environment and propose its use for teaching during the year
• Identify the benefits and barriers to teaching in the school garden
• Design, implement and reflect on teaching in the school garden, use the principles of activity learning in teaching, take into account interdisciplinary relationships and cross-cutting issues - Syllabus
