Course objectives
The student acquires knowledge about other cultures and employs this knowledge in an appropriate manner with respect for the uniqueness of each individual human being.(cultural knowledge) • The student approaches and understand a situation, an issue or a problem from multiple cultural perspectives. (multi-perspective approach) • The student is able to express himself verbally in at least one language other than the mother tongue, in such a way that he presents detailed descriptions in work-related contexts, on a wide range of topics. (Speaking a foreign language) • The student is able to organize a mobility abroad to the partner institution (to plan, take care of a mobility flow, applying for a grant, meet a new culture, …)
Learning outcomes
* introduction of the topic and motivation of your choice * a comparison about the way your topic is implemented in both curricula in Czech and Flanders (similarities, differences) at the level of Teacher Education * a comparison about the way your topic is implemented in of both curricula in Czech and Flanders (similarities, differences) at the level of Primary Education * a conclusion concerning your topic (an overview of advantages/strengths, disadvantages/limits on the way your perception on your topic changed during this project) * a conclusion of your seminar work (benefits and limits of your work, introduce your professional, personal and interculture growth) * overview of sources (literature, websites, …) in English, Czech or Dutch

  • Five online meetings, working on selected topic of COIL project at primary education International week in December at KdG Antwerpen International week in March at MUNI
