- SOUHLAS
A prerequisite is basic knowledge of morphological and physiological conditions in the human body at school level. If necessary, it is possible over the interpretation of the new curriculum verify and briefly recall key moments need to understand (words, pictures, diagrams, video, PC presentations). After an agreement with the students they tutor saves homework for the following lecture. Using the recommended self-professional and popular scientific literature curriculum can refresh a better fix. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic risks pathological conditions and major diseases with which they can meet the teacher, giving an overview of their symptoms, development, prevention, first aid and treatment. Expected outcomes: The student knows the basic risks, pathologies and relevant diseases; can identify their symptoms; knows the possibilities of prevention, first aid and treatment.

- Main topics (syllabus): • Basic terminology and definition of the field of health and its determinants. • Child and environment, heredity, environment conditions, the role of environmental factors. • Symptoms of illness at a school age child, the fundamentals of general infectology, epidemiological chain. • Diseases transmissible by air, water and food, blood, sexual intercourse, caused by protozoa, worms, arthropods. Immunological minimum, immunity disturbance, vaccination, vaccination calendar. • Non-infectious diseases of mass occurrence, the system risk factors. • Cardiovascular diseases - incidence, etiology, agents, risk and protective factors, treatment and prevention. • Cancer - incidence, etiology, agents, risk and protective factors, treatment and prevention. • Diabetes mellitus - incidence, etiology, type I and II, risk and protective factors, treatment and prevention, first aid. • Allergies and School - incidence, etiology, agents, risk and protective factors, treatment and prevention, first aid. • Epilepsy, neuroses in children, cerebral palsy, brain dysfunction. • Characteristics of the school environment, fatigue, overloading, daily schedule, conditions of school work. • Energy and biological value of the diet, essential nutrients, fluid intake, risk and protective factors. • Children's injuries, periods of risk of childhood injury prevention and first aid. • Cardiopulmocerebral resuscitation, stopping bleeding, shock and anti-shock measures. • Burns and frostbite, sunburn, heatstroke, acute fever, poisoning and burns. • First aid kit. Its equipment and the importance of individual components.

- Teaching methods
- Theoretical preparation of the recommended printed and electronic information resources. Feedback - students can ask questions during the lectures, comments, suggestions for discussion. If necessary, it is possible to further discuss these suggestions in teachers consultation hours.
- Assessment methods
- To pass the course is required written test of 60 questions in the syllabus. The answers are offered a closed form, the right is just one of several listed. It must achieve at least 40 correct answers. In case of disagreement the student, or other obstacles to accomplish in writing form, is possible to testing as well as verbally. The teacher enters the listener 3 questions based on the syllabus permit him written preparation.
