- Course objectives
- The subject aims for lessons are to equip students with: - Systematic knowledge of the nature and principles of inquire-based education (IBE); - Skills to create teaching materials and aids for IBE; - Skills in creating comprehensive learning modules; - The ability to develop their creativity. • Knowledge about the essence of critical thinking • Knowledge of various methods of critical thinking, including the utilization of active learning occurring in phases of evocation - awareness of information significance - reflection • Skills to select from the tools and methods of critical thinking those most suitable for a given situation, allowing students to form their own opinions, values, and con-victions • Experience in reflecting on their own learning and skills to utilize the student's con-tinuous self-reflection as one of the tools for lifelong education • Abilities to develop their own creativity in the application of methods within their own teaching preparations, to gain basic knowledge, skills of project-based learning.
- Learning outcomes
- Student: - applies theoretical knowledge about IBE in practice; - creates learning materials and tools for IBE; - develops creativity and pupils' creativity. Learning outcomes of the education led by Mgr. Dana Veselá, PhD: • Applies theoretical knowledge of critical thinking development methods in practice. • Reflects on their own learning. • Applies the three-phase E-U-R learning model and methods for developing students' critical thinking within their own teaching preparations. • Cultivates their own creativity and the creativity of students - has an idea of the different stages of a student project.

- • Seminar No 1: Basic terms of IBE: Constructivism, open learning, inquiry. Course Completion Requirements. • Seminar No 2. Inquiry: level of inquiry, creating questions, practical training in preparing different types of inquiry. • Seminar No 3. Inquiry cycle - familiarization with practical examples. • Seminar No 4. Creation of materials for IBE based on the information obtained. • Seminar No 5. Self-reflection and peer assessment of the created materials. • Seminar No. 6 Basic concepts - what is critical thinking, stems and roots, I.N.S.E.R.T., sources. Requirements for completing the subject. • Seminar No. 7 Reading with prediction, double journal, life poem. Practical introduction to methods. • Seminar No. 8 Group teaching and cooperative learning, jigsaw learning. Practical introdu-ction to methods. • Seminar No. 9 Three-phase learning model (E-U-R), practical introduction, individual ap-plication based on students' focus. • Seminar No. 10 Methods of reflection, self-reflection, and peer assessment of created mate-rials, preparation for teaching.
