Course objectives
he aim of the course is to acquaint students in more detail with the possibilities of using robotic kits / development kits BeeBot, Ozobot, H&S electronic system, Arduino. They will solve projects with them that require thoughtful construction and programming. They will learn strategies that will allow them to use the robot as a means of teaching algorithms or the basics of programming.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to design a suitable structure using a robotic kit, select the correct input and output modules for solving given types of problems and program the robot. The student is able to work in a team and in a project, based on a more general assignment he is able to create a specific assignment of his own project. The student is able to use appropriate methods to design activities leading to the development of algorithmic thinking and understands the issue of using robotic kits in teaching from a pedagogical point of view.
Syllabus
  • - Introduction to the robotic environment Ozoblockly, Arduino IDE, PICAXE programming editor, design and creation of the first robot. - Programming techniques: - movement of the robot in space, - use of input and output modules, - data processing from sensors, - response to various inputs, - work with variables and constants, - parallel processes. - Methods and activities developing algorithmic thinking using robotic kits. - Educational robotics in teaching, examples of teaching activities.
