Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course is focused on financial literacy in the wider economic context. Learning outcomes of the course is to introduce students to this issue and to develop their competencies in the field of financial literacy. Attention is paid to the basic areas of financial literacy (monetary literacy, price literacy, budget literacy and asset management), supplemented by other areas of financial literacy (numeracy, legal literacy, information literacy).

Knowledge: theoretical background of components of financial literacy and construction of financial products
Skills: possibilities of using individual financial products, their evaluation and utilization
Attitudes: ability to seek and evaluate relevant information on financial products and other areas related to economic and financial processes throughout life
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to define individual areas of financial literacy and will be able to identify them in educational documents of the Czech Republic.

The course consists of lectures, discussions, solving thematically oriented examples.
Assessment methods
The course is finished with a controlled discussion on a selected topic in the field of financial literacy.
