- Course objectives
- After completing the course, the student is able to understand and apply in practice rhythmic and fitness forms of exercises and elements of technique and methodology of training the basics of gymnastics corresponding to the curriculum in the 1st-5th grade of primary school. The student will be able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in the development of motor competences of children of younger school age. Appropriately and correctly uses assistance and rescue in individual exercises.
- Learning outcomes
- The student understands, explains and applies in practice the knowledge of gymnastics in physical education in grades 1-5 of primary school. The student is able to prepare a busy part (warm-up) with motivation, create a stack of exercises, set up and implement the preparatory part of the lesson (warm-up). The student correctly selects and practically implements the training of gymnastic exercises on equipment suitable for children of younger school age. Appropriately and correctly uses assistance and rescue during specific exercises.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction, safety and organisation of teaching. Composition of the physical education lesson (busy, preparatory, main part, final part). 2. Preparatory exercises without equipment (observance of health aspects and inclusion of motivation). 4. Preparatory exercises with equipment (observance of health aspects and inclusion of motivation). 5. Basic dance steps. 6. Exercises with apparatus (jump rope, ball, hoop) with musical accompaniment. 7. Modern movement forms with and without musical or spoken accompaniment. 8.-11. Technique and methodology of training: acrobatics, jump, climb, (trapeze), bench (low beam). 12. Summary of the learning content, achievement of credit requirements.
