Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to phraseologisms and their use in conversational topics.
Learning outcomes
  • development of communicative skills;
  • improvement of linguistic, cultural and intercultural competence;
  • vocabulary enhancement.
    • Syllabus
    • 1. Introduction. Types of phraseologisms in the Russian language.
    • 2. Phraseologisms with numerals.
    • 3. Comparative constructions with the conjunction kak.
    • 4. Online resources on Russian phraseology.
    • 5. Time in Russian phraseology.
    • 6. Phraseologisms with proper names.
    • 7. Phraseological expressions associated with nature and weather phenomena.
    Teaching methods
    Two weeks of online classes. One week of classes in Granada (May 6-10).
    Online classes: 22 hours.
    Classes in Granada: 28 hours.
    Seminars. Homework preparation and work on final project: 18 hours.
    Assessment methods
    Class attendance.
    Preparation and presentation of the final project on selected phraseological units.
    Project format: video, video presentation.
