Course objectives
Introduction to Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment is an experiential course that will give participants a glimpse into Reuven Feuerstein's program. Participants will get a hands-on introduction to the instruments of Point Arrangement and Illustration. They will be able to experience the principles of mediated learning and learn about the elements of the Instrumental Enrichment intervention program with wide application in  individual work and in the classroom. The workshops will include active work with worksheets.
Learning outcomes
Learners learn to develop the ability to work through learning in context. Learners learn to find strategies to solve a problem. The learner understands the principle of mediated learning. The learner accepts error as a source of learning. The learner respects the problem-solving practices of his/her colleagues. The learner can reflect on the use of the principles of mediated learning in everyday life and in teaching practice.

  • 1. Mediated learning, criteria. 2. Cognitive functions. 3. - 10. Working with the Arrangement of Points + Illustrations tool. 11. Introduction of other instruments of the Standard series. 12. Conclusion of the course: elaboration of the preparation of one sample lesson, group discussion reflecting on the possibilities of using the method in practice.
