- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to strengthen the competences of students in the field of special needs education counselling and intervention for children with manifestations of ADHD/ADD.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will gain expertise in intervention and suppor for the child with ADHD/ADD in the school's educational processes. Student will be able to define the needs of children with ADHD/ADD in learning, taking into account its potential and the path of education. The student will be able to draw up an intervention plan within the class (with the support of both the pupil and the teacher) as well as the objective of intervention within the home environment (with regard to family support).
- Syllabus
- ADD/ADHD etiology. Educational needs of children with ADD/ADHD. Developmental specifics as the basis of individual assessment. ADD/ADHD as a risk of behavioral disorder. Assessment for intervention. Basic teaching strategies and support for learning children with ADD/ADHD (in teaching and at home). Comprehensive advisory system in education (ŠPP, ŠPZ). Family support, communication with parents children with ADD/ADHD. Possibilities of therapy, treatment, support of self-regulating mechanisms and development of work capability for children with ADD/ADHD. Examples of good practice, casestudies.
