- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to obtain deeper information about the issue of people with physical disabilities, the possibilities of rehabilitation care, interdisciplinary cooperation, education, support and intervention. After completing the course, the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in the educational process of children and pupils with physical disabilities or health disadvantages.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be oriented in the area of early intervention, classification and terminology in the field, knows the influence of mobility impairment on the overall development of the individual, knows the main areas of methodological and content aspects of diagnostics. He/she is familiar with the possibilities of support and knows the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation.

- Course syllabus: 1. Terminology 2. Effect of mobility and inactivity on the human body 3. Positioning, verticalization and movement 4. Sitting and personal hygiene 5. Development of care for people with disabilities, periodization of approaches, main representatives of the field (Jedlička, Bartoš, Chlup) 6. Early care, meaning, possibilities, legislative anchoring 7. Classification of movement defects 8. Cerebral palsy, classification, support options 9. Psychomotor development of the child, support of child development 10. ICF, somatic, psychological and social impacts of disability. 11. Laterality – diagnostics, consideration of individuals with physical disabilities, peculiarities in amputations, deformities and hemiparesis. 12. Special pedagogical diagnostics (content and methodological aspects) 13. Special pedagogical diagnostics of gross motor skills, peculiarities in children and pupils with physical disabilities, pedagogical intervention. 14. Special pedagogical diagnostics of fine motor skills, peculiarities in children and pupils with physical disabilities, pedagogical intervention. 15. Special pedagogical diagnostics of graphomotorics, drawings and writing in children and pupils with physical disabilities. 16. Special pedagogical diagnostics of self-care, possibilities of support, compensatory aids.
