Course objectives
The aim of the course is a competent knowledge of the process of education children at risk or with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD), orientation (assessment) in the child's situation. Students will be familiar with the system of counseling and educational facilities (school, counseling, preventive educational care, residential care). The course emphasizes the active participation of students during lessons, individual preparation (reading texts and writing their reflections), developing the ability to view the issues critically and creatively - independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
Learning outcomes
Students will be informed about characteristic of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties/disorders (EBD) and on the nature of educational needs of the children. Student will be able to orientate themselves within the system of counselling care and of residential facilities.
