- Course objectives
- A seminar focused on technologically conditioned art, otherwise also the art of new media. The aim is to deepen the knowledge and context of art and technology, to demonstrate the differences between old and analog processes and what we call the digital turnaround in society. We will deal in detail with the media and specific works of video art, sound art, performance, interactive installations, robotic art, telematics, videomapping, VJing, net art, game art, software art, algorithmic art, artificial intelligence and work with DNA or databases.
- Learning outcomes
- The seminar enables two types of outputs: analysis of an existing new media art project from the point of view of media theory and analysis of the relations between the used technological procedures and their limits. The second variant is the concept of the author's artwork, which uses the latest technologies and procedures and develops issues of digitalization.
