- Course objectives
- The students will learn about the practical application of the principles of didactics of physical education and health education in kindergarten. The course is based on the students’ teaching sessions and their reflections, according to which the students deliver physical activity and health education lessons based on a thorough didactic preparation.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the students will be able to use the knowledge of the theory and didactics of physical education and health education in qualified preparation of physical activities and health education activities in kindergarten; the students will be able reflect on these activities.
- Syllabus
- Seminar: 1. – 2. Preparation for teaching sessions in kindergarten, learning about the basic methods of observation and assessment of structured physical activities and health education activities. 3. – 6. Demonstrations of structured physical activities in preschool education. 7. – 8. Demonstrations of structured and semi-structured physical activities in the area of health education, 9. – 11. Reflected teaching sessions on a given topic involving physical education and health education – both indoor and outdoor in a playing field or in a natural environment. 12. Evaluation and self-reflection of student teaching sessions.
