- Prerequisite is knowledge of geographical curriculum and application of geographical skills in the extend of curriculum of primary school and grammar school.

- Course objectives
- The course presents geography as a science with it's methods of research, with it's object of study and it's partial disciplines.
It focuses on the development of geographical thinking and building the identity of a geography teacher.
The goals of the course are:
A student
-defines the object of studying geography and geographical research methods;
- gives examples of technologies and forms of field teaching that can be used in the teaching of geography;
- includes geographic curriculum in the thematic areas of the FEP EE of the educational field of geography. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- describe the structure of geographical disciplines and their interrelationships,
- to list Czech and international geographic societies, basic sources of geographic data, both for expert analyzes and for use in school practice,
- to select and apply appropriate geographical research methods,
- use basic ICT tools for the work of the geographer;
- ask relevant geographic questions,
- describe the forms of field education, its benefits and barriers for geographic education,
- include the selected geography curriculum in the FEP EE structure. - Syllabus

- Assessment methods
- In obtain the mark, it is necessary to complete the assigned exercises within the set deadline. Then it is neccessary to pass a written test including theory for min. 60%. The student submits a portfolio of exercises for the 1st semester of study.
