Transmisívní a konstruktivistické přístupy k učení a vyučování vlastivědy. Prostor, čas a hodnoty (časoprostor a hodnoty) ve vlastivědném vyučování. Konstrukce významů, podstata konstruktivistických učebních úloh. Identifikace vstupních podmínek (prekoncepce a miskoncepce žáků), asimilační schémata, asimilace, akomodace, kognitivní konflikt, ekvilibrace (konceptuální změna, kognitivní zlom) ve výzkumných sondách studentů - např. zjišťování prekoncepcí, naivních teorií dětí ve vztahu k učivu vlastivědy, jejich interpretace a využití v projektování učiva. Centrace a decentrace myšlení v procesech učení u žáků ve vlastivědě.
