Předmět psychopatologie je zaměřen na patologii základních oblastí psychiky, podává přehled odborné terminologie symptomů a syndromů, se kterými se setkáváme u různých duševních chorob a tvoří z tohoto pohledu úvod do studia oboru psychiatrie.
