Course objectives
The undergraduates use their knowledge from the course of The Basics of Dialectology to develop the working methods in dialectology a method of dialectic texts analyses and a method of processing the results acquired in a dialectological research, e.g. use of a dialectic questionnaire. They study language geography and work with a language atlas.
Syllabus
  • 1 Criteria of division the Czech national language into dialects. 2 Division of Czech into dialectic groups, subgroups, segments; their mutual relationships. 3 Transcription of dialectic speech in practice. 4 Dialectological excursion; dialectological research in practice with the transcription of the living speech. 5 Interpretation of dialectic texts (their transcriptions) 6 Analysis of the innovative phenomena, especially in school-childrens speech.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Typ výuky: seminář, předmět je ukončen zápočtem. Podmínkou k získání zápočtu je odevzdání písemné práce zaměřené např. na jazykovou situaci v určité lokalitě (podle výběru studenta nebo podle dohody s vyučujícím).
