Course objectives
Konzultace 1 (15.2.2008) Test (16.45-18.45 room 50) Consultation 2 (rooms 51, 52, 53) - basic techniques for specific text analysis - skimming, scanning, summary writing. Text 10: Reader's comment. Consultation 3 (21.3.2008) - other resources for text analysis, on-line resources, dictionaries. - Text 7. Special texts based on the field of study (key words, summary, comment) - to be submitted to Odevzdavarna by 23.4.2008 Consultation 4 (25.4.2008) - presentation; analysis of individual special texts based on the field of study, reader's comment, discussion. Consultation 5 (30.5.2008) Final test - written part 65% pass, oral part - special text analysis. The student will produce a short English-Czech dictionary based on the special text.

Text 10: Reader's comment. Consultation 3 (21.3.2008) - other resources for text analysis, on-line resources, dictionaries. Text 7. Consultation 5 (30.5.2008) FINAL TEST 16.45 room 50 Final test - written part 65% pass, oral part - special text analysis. Examinations: Written Part - Finding specific information in an authentic English or American text. Analysing the information, making a comment in English; Those who have passed will continue on: Oral Part - Analysis of an English or American authentic text (approx. 5,000 words) linked to the students field of study. The student will submit the text and his/her English-Czech dictionary to the examiner two days before the examination.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Konzultace podle rozvrhu. Pro ukončení předmětu jsou předepsány v semestru průběžné kontroly (ustni prezentace, pisemne ukoly formou e-learningu, atd.), jejichž výsledky jsou započítávány do závěrečného hodnocení. Zkouska: Písemná cast: vyhledani informaci v odborném textu, vlastní písemný komentář v AJ. Ústní cást: analýza autentickeho odborného anglického textu (podle studované aprobace, rozsah 5000 slov) v Aj. Pro úspěšné složení závěrečného testu je třeba získat minimálně 65% v písemné části zkoušky.
