Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand plant systematic principles and methods, plant classification schemes to gain an appreciation of the diversity of the world’s mosses and vascular flora to become familiar with the characteristics of major orders and families of vascular plants

  • Basic principles of systematics
  • history of systematics
  • principles of historical and modern botanical systems
  • characteristics of basic groups of vascular plants:
  • Bryophyta
  • Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Psilotophyta, Polypodiophyta
  • Angiospermae
  • Magnoliophyta
