German knowledge on the level stage B2 (aktive) a C1 (passiv) is presupposed after the European reference framework. The knowledge of the appropriate grammar phenomena and the basis vocabulary knowledge is aspected. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- A goal of the seminar is to strengthen the language ability on the level B2 to C1 and to train all language competences, so that the description of ability indicated in the The Common European Framework is reached till the end of springsemester 2008: "Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices." (level C1) Active cooperation and self-study are expected by the students. A goal of instruction is the training of the active and passive use of the language.
- Syllabus
- Exercises to the four competences: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking, as well as to vocabulary and grammar, on the basis of the text book: “Mittelstufe Deutsch”, lesson 7. Supplemented by materials from international tests on the level stage B2 and C1 and by authentic texts.

- Assessment methods
- Language test at the end of the semester consisting of an oral and written test. Written part consists of 3 parts - reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing comprehension. Grammar and vocabulary is examined indirectly in other parts. All 4 parts must be completed successfully. You will find a method of evaluation in IS.
