The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about the problems of integration and inclusion in the current educational system in the Czech Republic and its comparison with selected educational systems abroad. In addition, the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful organization and teaching in the classroom integrating students with special educational needs.
Syllabus
  • BACIC TOPICS  Integration, inclusion.  Development of care of handicapped and history of Special Education.  Current concept of special education and its position in system of scientific disciplines.  Basic categories and methods of Special Education. SPECIALIZED TOPICS:  Comprehensive system in the care of People with handicaps in the Czech Republic.  Comparison to foreign countries.  Therapies.  Opportunities.  Legislation.  Survey of special institutions for upbringing and educating of people with various handicaps.  Prevention, counselling.
