Course objectives
At the end of tuition students are able to handle basis terminology of the discipline and they have general knowledge about basic communicative functions of an utterance. They are able to realize communicative functions in communication acts and to use postural particles meaningfully at the same time.
Syllabus
  • - definition of pragmalinguistics, the explanation of notions presupposition, inherence and deixis - pragmalinguistics as text linguistics and theory of langauage signs - the theory of speech acts: locution, perlocution and illocution - the condition of successfulnes of speech acts - typology of speech acts according to U. Engel - the role of chosem postural particles as illocution indicators Credit requirements: the orientation in problematics, the form of examining is colloquium
