Course objectives
Students are to develop communicative skills, practice grammar and lexical items based on certain topics. Students advance from preparatory excercises to individual verbal and written expression by the means of discussions, excercises and writing.

Teaching methods
Regular activ participation in the class. Listening in russian language. Reading russian texts and correct pronunciation.
Assessment methods
Seminar. Credit. Writting test and oral discission (russian language). Discussion with the teacher will be held. The discussion will be based on the topics from the course, the reading (Russian book - 180- 200 p., the student will bring and show the book, and listening (audio, video, DVD). The student will also provide a vocabulary exercise book, which will contain at least fifty new words.
