- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to introduce the basic knowledge necessary for application physical-geographical experience in every-day-life and in extreme situations. The dynamics of the Earth can be presented in the daily geographical reporting from the world at schools. Students should be able to search for latest environmental news on the internet, newspapers and other media.
- Syllabus
- Subject contents:
- 1. Geographical knowledge about the nature applied for the orientation in the field.
- 2. Physical-geographical knowledge used for searching relationships necessary for decision making in the lanscape and in the environment.
- 3. Physical-geographical knowledge in extreme situations.
- 4. Application of maps, GIS technology and GPS equipment.
- 5. Application of ground, aerial and satellite imagery both in analogue and digital forms.
- 6. Application of internet, newspapers, special and general geographical publications.
