Course objectives
The course extends the issue of European integration on the regional policy of the European Union (Structural Funds). Its content is the origin and evolution, the current content and instruments of European regional policy and measures for their implementation in the Czech Republic. At the end of course students should be albe to use informations in regional geography, interpret of basic informations in geographical tought.

  • 1. The European Community, the creation and development stages. 2. The general concept of European regional policy. 3. Regional policy of Czech Republic. 4. Structural funds of the European Union. 5. Regional policy in the EU and the Czech Republic.

Teaching methods
The cours is teaching throught lectures and exercises. Students have semestr project. After preapering students refer about projects in class discusion.

The timely submission of written protocols for the specified tasks. Written test.
