- Course objectives
- Students should learn Russian language structure in system and in functional communicative perspective.Students are to master the introduction to simple, complex, and compound sentence structure, their grammar and meaning.Students also study syntactical theories from text analysis.

- 1. Evolving sentence elements. 2. Attributive adjective, appositional adjunct. 3. Apposition. 4. Object. Direct and indirect object. 5. Complement. 6. Adverbials and modes of expression. 7. One-element sentences: with definite nominative, indefinite nominative, general nominative. 8. One-element sentences: subject less, nominal. Incomplete sentences. 9. Compound and Complex sentences. General characteristics. 10. Compound sentence. Classification. 11. Complex sentence. Classification. 12. Clauses.
