Course objectives
Methodology of education, research methods, research design, research project. Preparation of students planning to study a doctoral programme in education and related disciplines.
Syllabus
  • Educational methodology. Educational research. Types of research. Qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods reseach.
  • Quantitative research. Phases of research. Methods (observation, interview, questionnaires, tests, experiment, content analysis). Reliability, validity and objektivity.
  • Qualitative research. Phases, methods (observation, interview). Validity, reliability.
  • Mixed methods research and mixed model design. Types of mixed method design. Sampling. Problems.
  • Research project.
