- Course objectives
- After passing the course, students are able to demonstrate basics of technique and methodics of swimming and skating, taking into account children education specialties.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction, theory of skating, figure-skating and ice-hockey. Methodics of basic children skating practice, injury prevention and safety measures. 2. Basic practice focusing on ride forward, stoping, ride in curves, step over step forward ride, backward ride, turns, jumps, games on ice. 3. Basic swimming concepts, basics of swimming hygiene and safety, preparatory exercises on the ground. 4. Preparatory exercises and games in order to be acquainted with and oriented in water, flowing, breathing into water. Falls and jumps into water. Elementary swimming of the freestyle, backstroke and breakstroke, swimming coordination of these styles with breathing. 5. Helping tired swimmer, rescuing a drowning person.
